1. Agreement and operator
These Terms of Use are an agreement between you and Twelve Tech Pte Ltd (UEN 201508336Z), the operator of csv.design. By creating an account, using csv.design, or purchasing a csv.design product, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and any terms presented at checkout.
If you use csv.design for an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms on its behalf. In that case, “you” includes that organisation.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 21 years old and legally able to enter into a binding agreement. csv.design is intended for business and professional use and is not designed for children.
You must provide accurate account information, protect your sign-in credentials, and notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
3. What csv.design provides
csv.design helps users design reusable dashboard templates from CSV data. The service includes online previews, AI-assisted design, template editing, downloaded HTML reports, and associated account and purchase features.
Features available to you depend on your purchase, editor-access period, template capacity, and any additional terms shown before purchase.
4. Online previews and downloaded reports
When you use the online design service, csv.design processes the information you choose to submit. Previewing with your own data sends up to 1,000 of its reviewed rows to csv.design, together with column names, inferred types and sample values from the CSV. You must review information before submitting it and avoid unnecessary sensitive, confidential, or regulated information.
Sample data is not saved with a template by default. If you actively choose to save it, you instruct csv.design to store the reviewed preview rows with that template so you can resume editing. You confirm that you have permission to store those rows. You can replace or remove them without deleting the template. The original CSV file and filename are not stored through this feature, and saved rows are not included in downloaded HTML reports.
When a downloaded HTML report opens a CSV, that CSV is processed locally in the browser and is not sent back to csv.design by the report.
5. Your content
You retain ownership of CSV data, instructions, logos, template content, and other material you submit (“Customer Content”). You grant csv.design a limited, non-exclusive licence to process Customer Content only as needed to provide, secure, support, and maintain the service and comply with law.
You confirm that you have the rights and authority needed to submit Customer Content and instruct csv.design to process it. You must not submit material that infringes another person’s intellectual-property, privacy, confidentiality, or other rights. Our Data Processing Addendum applies where csv.design processes personal information on behalf of a business customer.
6. AI-assisted features
csv.design may use Anthropic’s Claude or OpenAI services to interpret instructions and assist with report design. AI-generated suggestions may be inaccurate, incomplete, non-unique, or unsuitable for your intended purpose.
You must review the resulting template, calculations, labels, charts, and exports before relying on them. csv.design does not provide legal, financial, accounting, medical, employment, compliance, or other professional advice.
7. Ownership of csv.design
Twelve Tech Pte Ltd and its licensors retain ownership of csv.design, including its software, report renderer, interface, design system, documentation, branding, and reusable code included in downloaded templates. Except for the licences expressly granted in these Terms, no intellectual-property rights are transferred to you.
8. Downloaded-template licence
For each template covered by a completed purchase, csv.design grants you a worldwide, non-exclusive, perpetual licence to use the downloaded HTML template for internal business reporting; make reasonable backup copies; generate and distribute reports, PDFs, JPGs, and other outputs; and permit your employees and contractors to use it on your behalf.
If you are a consultant, you may assign one licensed template slot to one identified client and provide that HTML template for the client’s internal use. You must not share the same licensed template across unrelated clients.
You must not sell, sublicense, publish, or distribute a downloaded HTML template as a standalone product; use it to operate a competing template or dashboard-generation service; or circumvent template-capacity limits.
The licence does not expire when editor access ends or when you close your account. If a purchase is refunded, reversed, charged back, or found to be fraudulent, or if the licence is terminated for serious misuse, the affected licence and online entitlements terminate. A file remaining on a device does not grant permission to continue using or distributing it after its licence ends.
9. Editor access and template capacity
Single Plan and Studio Pack are one-time purchases, not subscriptions. A purchase includes the template capacity and the editor-access months shown before checkout. Editor access permits online editing, smart changes, and re-downloads during that period.
When editor access ends, previously downloaded templates continue to work. Online editing, AI features, and new downloads require active editor access. Additional template slots and AI top-ups are separate one-time purchases, and Editor monthly and Editor annual are separate subscriptions, each governed by the terms and price shown at checkout. A template slot never includes editor access.
Editor monthly renews automatically every month and Editor annual every 12 months, at the price shown for the renewal, unless you cancel before the renewal date. Neither can be paused, and an account holds one Editor subscription at a time. Each confirmed subscription payment provides another month or another 12 months of editor access. You can cancel future renewals yourself at any time from the Billing page, or through Paddle, or by contacting support@csv.design. Cancellation does not end access already paid for, and previously downloaded templates continue to work.
All dollar amounts displayed by csv.design are in United States dollars unless the checkout expressly states otherwise.
10. Acceptable use
You must not use csv.design to break applicable laws or third-party rights; upload malware, credentials, authentication tokens, or unlawfully obtained information; probe, attack, overload, scrape, or disrupt the service; circumvent authentication, purchase entitlements, limits, or safeguards; reverse engineer the hosted service; use AI features in violation of applicable provider policies; misrepresent generated results or use them to deceive or harm others; or make fully automated high-impact decisions about people without appropriate human review.
11. Payments and refunds
Paddle is the merchant of record and authorised reseller for self-service purchases. Payment, tax collection, transaction confirmation, and payment-method handling are also governed by Paddle’s buyer terms. The total amount and applicable taxes are displayed during checkout. Access is granted only after csv.design receives verified payment confirmation.
Refunds are handled through Paddle in accordance with our Refund Policy, Paddle’s applicable process, and rights that cannot be excluded by law.
12. Service changes and availability
We may improve, replace, or discontinue online features. Where a change materially reduces a paid online entitlement, we will provide reasonable notice where practicable and an appropriate remedy where possible.
csv.design does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. Maintenance, security incidents, provider outages, and events outside our reasonable control may affect availability.
Downloaded templates do not expire or phone home. However, future browser, operating-system, security-policy, or file-format changes may affect compatibility.
13. Suspension, termination, and account closure
You may stop using csv.design or request account closure at any time. We may restrict or suspend online access where reasonably necessary to address a material breach, fraud, unlawful activity, security risk, non-payment, or a legal or provider requirement.
Where appropriate, we will explain the reason and provide a reasonable opportunity to correct a remediable breach. Account closure ends online access but does not ordinarily end a lawfully purchased downloaded-template licence.
14. Warranties and responsibility for results
csv.design will provide the paid service with reasonable care and skill. You are responsible for verifying your source data, configuration, calculations, reports, and exported results and for deciding whether an output is suitable for your intended purpose.
Except for rights or warranties that cannot legally be excluded, the service is provided without additional implied warranties.
15. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Twelve Tech Pte Ltd has no monetary liability arising from use of the free Preview, for which no HTML template can be downloaded.
For a paid product or entitlement, the total aggregate liability of Twelve Tech Pte Ltd arising from or relating to csv.design will not exceed the amount paid for the product or entitlement that gave rise to the claim.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Twelve Tech Pte Ltd will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, or for loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, anticipated savings, or business opportunities.
16. Business indemnity
If you use csv.design for business purposes, you will indemnify Twelve Tech Pte Ltd against third-party claims arising from Customer Content that you had no right to submit, or from your unlawful use or unauthorised redistribution of a downloaded template. This indemnity does not apply to the extent the claim was caused by csv.design.
17. Mandatory rights
Nothing in these Terms limits rights or remedies that cannot be excluded under applicable law. If you use csv.design as a consumer, mandatory protections in your country continue to apply. If there is a conflict, the mandatory protection controls to the extent required.
18. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Before starting legal proceedings, the party raising the dispute must provide written notice describing the issue. Both parties will make a reasonable, good-faith attempt to resolve it for 30 days.
If you use csv.design for business purposes, the courts of Singapore have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms or the service. If you use csv.design as a consumer, this clause does not prevent you from bringing a claim in a court available to you under mandatory consumer-protection law. These Terms do not require mandatory arbitration.
19. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the service, law, security requirements, or commercial practices. Material changes will apply prospectively, with reasonable notice where practicable. Changes will not retroactively reduce the perpetual licence attached to an already purchased downloaded template.
If you do not agree to updated online-service terms, you may stop using the online service.
20. General terms and contact
These Terms, the policies incorporated into them, and any applicable order form are the entire agreement concerning the service. If one provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue. A delay in enforcing a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our written consent; Twelve Tech Pte Ltd may assign them as part of a merger, reorganisation, financing, or sale of the relevant business.
We are not responsible for delay or failure caused by events outside our reasonable control. Electronic notices may be delivered to your account email or displayed through the service. If these Terms are translated, the English version controls to the extent permitted by law.
Questions about these Terms may be sent to support@csv.design.
