Who we are
csv.design is operated by Twelve Tech Pte Ltd (UEN 201508336Z), a company registered in Singapore. In this policy, “csv.design”, “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to Twelve Tech Pte Ltd.
This policy applies when you visit csv.design, create an account, design or preview a report, use an AI-assisted feature, make a purchase, contact us, or use a report downloaded from csv.design.
The important CSV distinction
Online design and preview: Up to 1,000 rows of your own CSV are sent to csv.design to build the on-screen preview. Information about the CSV structure, such as column names, inferred data types, statistics, and sample values, is also processed to design the dashboard. Review the rows shown before you continue and remove anything sensitive or unnecessary.
Optional saved sample data: csv.design does not save preview rows with a template by default. If you actively choose “Save sample data”, the reviewed rows currently displayed in the preview are stored with that template so you can resume editing without uploading another CSV. You can replace or remove them at any time. We do not store the original CSV file or filename through this feature, and saved rows are not included in downloaded HTML reports.
Downloaded reports: When you open a downloaded HTML report and choose a CSV, that CSV is read and processed locally in your browser. Its rows are not sent back to csv.design while the report creates, filters, searches, or exports the dashboard. Your browser, operating system, and any software installed on your device remain outside our control.
Information we process
Depending on how you use the service, we may process account and workspace information, including your email address, display name, timezone, company name, account status, preferences, and workspace membership.
We may process report-design information, including CSV column names and profiles, sample values, selected preview rows, answers and instructions, template configuration, saved-template metadata, optional sample data you expressly save with a template, and generated output.
When you use an AI-assisted feature, we may process your instruction together with the relevant report context needed to answer it. This context may include column names, sample values, selected preview data, or template configuration.
We may also process purchase and licence information, support messages, feedback, and technical information needed to operate and protect the service, such as request times, IP addresses, browser information, and security events.
How we use information
We use information to provide accounts and workspaces; generate previews and report templates; provide AI-assisted design features; save your work; complete purchases; deliver licences; respond to support requests; diagnose problems; secure the service; prevent misuse; and comply with legal, accounting, and tax obligations.
AI-assisted features
csv.design uses Anthropic’s Claude and OpenAI services to support AI-assisted features. Relevant instructions and report context may be sent to one of these providers so that it can produce the requested result. Do not include confidential or sensitive personal information in an instruction unless it is necessary and you are authorised to do so.
Anthropic and OpenAI state that business and API inputs and outputs are not used to train their models by default unless the customer expressly opts in. Their handling of information is also governed by their applicable business terms and data-processing commitments.
Payments
Paddle processes checkout and payment information and acts as merchant of record for purchases. We receive the transaction and licence information needed to confirm a purchase, provide the product, handle support, and maintain legally required business records. We do not receive or store your complete payment-card number.
Information about other people
A CSV may contain information about employees, customers, suppliers, or other people. You are responsible for ensuring that you have the permission and legal authority needed to submit or save that information. Use the smallest amount of data needed, mask sensitive columns where possible, and do not upload or save information that is unnecessary for designing the report.
Where a business customer submits personal information about other people and csv.design processes it solely to provide the service, the customer determines why that information is used and csv.design processes it on the customer’s instructions. Our Data Processing Addendum provides additional terms for this processing.
When we disclose information
We disclose information only as needed to providers that help us operate the service, including providers of cloud hosting, account services, databases, AI processing, payment processing, service communications, and customer support. These providers may process information only for the relevant service and under their applicable contractual obligations.
We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, protect users or the service, investigate fraud or security incidents, enforce our agreements, or complete a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of all or part of the business subject to appropriate safeguards.
International processing
We operate from Singapore and provide csv.design internationally. Information may be processed in Singapore and in other countries where our service providers operate. Where required, we use contractual and organisational safeguards intended to provide an appropriate standard of protection for international transfers.
Security
We use technical and organisational safeguards intended to protect information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, and loss. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Review your data before submitting it and protect exported files appropriately.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to or correction of personal information, withdraw consent, object to or restrict certain processing, request deletion, receive portable information, or complain to a data-protection authority. These rights may be subject to legal exceptions.
To make a privacy request, email support@csv.design. We may need to verify your identity and authority before acting on a request.
Children
csv.design is a business service and is not designed for children. Do not use the service or submit a child’s personal information if you are not legally able and authorised to do so.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy when the service, our practices, or applicable laws change. We will publish the updated version with a revised effective date and provide additional notice when required.
