Know exactly where each kind of data goes.

See the difference between information used for online design and a CSV opened later in your downloaded report.

Before download

Online preview data

To build the online preview, use sanitized sample data: we use your CSV’s structure and sample values, or up to 1,000 rows you have reviewed. Remove anything sensitive first. Rows are not saved by default; you can choose to save the reviewed preview rows with your template for faster editing.

Your browser

Your actual CSV

After download, open the template with your actual CSV on your computer. It creates the dashboard there, and the rows are not sent to us.

Works in Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, Safari and Firefox.

The handoffDesign online. Use the finished dashboard on your computer.

For your IT or security team

A short summary for a review request.

Copy these plain-language details into your organization’s software or data review form.

What we receive
The design information you choose to submit: your CSV’s column names, types and real sample values, or up to 1,000 reviewed rows when you preview with your own data, plus your instructions and template layout.
AI processing
To act on your instructions, the design information above and your request may be sent to our AI providers. Do not submit confidential or sensitive data you are not comfortable sharing.
Optional saved sample data
Off by default. Saves only the reviewed rows displayed in the preview. You can replace or remove the saved rows, and they are not included in downloaded HTML reports.
CSV data in a downloaded template
When you open a CSV in a downloaded template, its rows are processed on your computer and are not sent to us. Don’t take our word for it: disconnect from the internet, then open the HTML file and load your CSV. It works the same offline.
Software required
No agent, extension, macro, or admin access. The dashboard opens in an existing supported browser.
Internet connections
The downloaded template works offline. It contains no links to outside scripts, styles, fonts or images, and a built-in content security policy blocks it from loading outside resources or sending data out in the background.
What code goes into the template
Only the built-in features needed for your charts, tables, filters, and CSV loading. Spreadsheet values are shown as plain text, never run as code, and the file does not use eval or dynamic code execution.
